Forging Fundamentals 5 is a new workshop.

In this workshop the students will make the tools ( i.e. hammers and stakes)
to perform the tasks of making beautiful repousse' forms and leaves.

• Basic training in the French style of repousse' includes raising, sinking, and planishing.
• Students will make (and keep) three hammers and several stakes to shape grape, water and acanthus leaves.
• Students should bring their favorite forging hammer, and a new 8" half round file to make the tools.
• Because of the nature of this class, two weekends are required to accomplish these tasks.
• Workshop fee.....$500.00, which includes hammer blanks, hammer handles and high carbon steel for tooling
